ANYONE FREE?
Have one or two members of your team skip ahead to Step 14 to work ahead and get the wrist straps fitted.
Attach Geared Digit to Center Rigid Digit.
Finish one side of the prosthetic hand at a time by carrying out Step 7 and Step 8, then repeat on the other side.
Very Important: Be very sure the Digit Pin does not hit the Compression Spring in the Geared Digit, it will DAMAGE THE COMPRESSION SPRING if not done properly. Install the Geared Digit in the OPEN position to avoid damage.
Test the movement:
In this clear DEMO Rigid Digit you can see how the Digit Pin compresses and releases the spring smoothly as you open and close the Geared Digit.
Check:
The Geared Digit moves smoothly and you can feel the Spring Compressing as you open and close the Geared Digit.
